  • 8 Hawaiian rolls

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
  2. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally.
  3. Dip each half of the rolls into the custard mixture, ensuring they soak for a few seconds.
  4. Heat the butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Place the soaked rolls in the skillet and cook until golden brown on both sides.
  6. Serve warm with maple syrup, powdered sugar, and fresh fruit.

Notes

For best results, use slightly stale rolls to improve absorption of the custard. Don’t rush the soaking process.
