Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 cups mashed potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons butter (optional)


Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef and onion until fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
  2. Sprinkle the flour over the meat mixture and stir to combine.
  3. Slowly add beef broth, stirring constantly, until the gravy thickens. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Serve the hamburger gravy over fluffy mashed potatoes. If desired, add a tablespoon of butter to the mashed potatoes for extra creaminess.
