Description

Delight in the flavors of traditional Japan with this Gyoza Soup Recipe. This Easy Japanese Soup Dish combines savory Japanese Dumplings with a rich broth for a comforting meal inspired by Traditional Japanese Soup Ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 5 vegetable gyozas
  • 2 spring onions, thinly sliced
  • ½ – 1 bulb pak choi, sliced into chunks
  • 20 g ginger, finely grated
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • ½ courgette, spiralized
  • 500 ml vegetable stock
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp chili oil
  • Salt & pepper

Instructions

  1. Begin by heating a large pot over medium heat. Add a small splash of vegetable oil and let it warm. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the pot. Sauté until fragrant but not browned, about 1-2 minutes.
  2. Pour in the vegetable stock and soy sauce, and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Once simmering, carefully add the vegetable gyozas into the broth. Let them cook for about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the pak choi, spring onions, and spiralized courgette in the final few minutes of cooking. Allow everything to heat through.
  4. Drizzle the chili oil over the soup and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Ladle the warm soup into bowls, ensuring a balanced portion of broth, vegetables, and gyozas. Garnish with additional sliced spring onions or sesame seeds, if desired.

Notes

  • Use quality stock for best results.
