Description

A heartwarming casserole that combines lean ground turkey and fresh zucchini for a nutritious and comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 2 medium zucchinis, sliced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté diced onion and minced garlic for 3-5 minutes until soft.
  3. Add ground turkey and cook until browned, around 7-10 minutes, seasoning with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Add sliced zucchini and marinara sauce, mixing well. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish, spreading evenly. Top with mozzarella cheese.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
