Description

A hearty skillet classic with ground turkey and potatoes, perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) ground turkey
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups diced potatoes
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro (optional)


Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and stir until softened and translucent, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add minced garlic and stir until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Crumble ground turkey into the skillet and cook until golden-brown, about 7 to 10 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle in cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper and stir to coat the turkey.
  5. Add diced potatoes, cover the skillet, and let cook, stirring occasionally until tender, about 15 minutes.
  6. Stir in frozen peas and cook for another 5 minutes, until warmed through.
  7. Garnish with chopped cilantro if desired before serving.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
