Description
A hearty skillet classic with ground turkey and potatoes, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 1 lb (450g) ground turkey
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups diced potatoes
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and stir until softened and translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and stir until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Crumble ground turkey into the skillet and cook until golden-brown, about 7 to 10 minutes.
- Sprinkle in cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper and stir to coat the turkey.
- Add diced potatoes, cover the skillet, and let cook, stirring occasionally until tender, about 15 minutes.
- Stir in frozen peas and cook for another 5 minutes, until warmed through.
- Garnish with chopped cilantro if desired before serving.
Notes
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
