Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Egg noodles or rice for serving
- Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the chopped onion and minced garlic until the beef is fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
- Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they are tender.
- Stir in the flour and cook for about a minute.
- Gradually add the beef broth, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
- Reduce heat and mix in the sour cream and Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve over egg noodles or rice and garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use higher fat ground beef. You can also use pre-sliced mushrooms to save time.
