Description

A comforting and hearty dish with creamy sauce and tender beef, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Egg noodles or rice for serving
  • Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the chopped onion and minced garlic until the beef is fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they are tender.
  3. Stir in the flour and cook for about a minute.
  4. Gradually add the beef broth, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
  5. Reduce heat and mix in the sour cream and Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve over egg noodles or rice and garnish with chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use higher fat ground beef. You can also use pre-sliced mushrooms to save time.
