Description

A quick and delicious stir fry with savory ground beef and nutritious broccoli, perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Cooked rice for serving
  • Green onions for garnish (optional)
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. In a large skillet or wok, heat the sesame oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and ginger, and cook for another minute.
  4. Add the broccoli florets and stir-fry for about 5 minutes, until they are tender-crisp.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce and brown sugar until dissolved. Pour this sauce over the beef and broccoli, stirring well to combine.
  6. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until everything is evenly coated and heated through.
  7. Serve hot over cooked rice, garnish with green onions and sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. Don’t overcook the broccoli to retain its nutrients.
