Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Cooked rice for serving
- Green onions for garnish (optional)
- Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a large skillet or wok, heat the sesame oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
- Stir in the minced garlic and ginger, and cook for another minute.
- Add the broccoli florets and stir-fry for about 5 minutes, until they are tender-crisp.
- In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce and brown sugar until dissolved. Pour this sauce over the beef and broccoli, stirring well to combine.
- Cook for another 2-3 minutes until everything is evenly coated and heated through.
- Serve hot over cooked rice, garnish with green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
Notes
Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. Don’t overcook the broccoli to retain its nutrients.
