Description

A delicious combination of a grilled cheese sandwich and a burrito, the Grilled Cheese Burrito offers warmth and comfort in every bite with minimal cooking effort.

Ingredients

  • 2 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (Cheddar, mozzarella, or a blend)
  • 1/2 cup cooked and seasoned ground beef or chicken (optional)
  • 1/2 cup taco sauce
  • Butter for grilling

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Spread butter on one side of each tortilla.
  3. Place one tortilla butter-side down in the skillet.
  4. Add shredded cheese and cooked meat (if using) on top of the tortilla.
  5. Drizzle taco sauce over the cheese.
  6. Top with the second tortilla, butter-side up.
  7. Cook until the bottom tortilla is golden and crispy, about 2-3 minutes, then flip and cook the other side until golden.
  8. Remove from skillet, let cool slightly, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

Be careful not to overfill with cheese to avoid mess when flipping. Allow to cool slightly before slicing to prevent burning yourself.
