Description

Juicy and tender Greek meatballs bursting with aromatic herbs and spices, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef or lamb
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for frying


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground meat, breadcrumbs, parsley, onion, garlic, oregano, cumin, egg, salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix the ingredients well until thoroughly combined and slightly sticky.
  3. Shape the mixture into small balls about 1 inch in diameter.
  4. Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat and add meatballs in batches.
  5. Fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 10 minutes.
  6. Transfer meatballs to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.

Notes

Serve meatballs with tzatziki sauce, over rice or couscous, in pita bread, on skewers, or on a salad.
