Description

A quick and easy recipe for marinated chicken skewers served with a refreshing tzatziki sauce.


Ingredients

  • 500g chicken breast, cubed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Wooden or metal skewers
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 cucumber, shredded
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, minced (for tzatziki)
  • Salt to taste


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Add the chicken cubes and ensure they are well coated. Cover and let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (390°F).
  4. Thread the marinated chicken onto the skewers.
  5. Place the skewers in the air fryer basket and cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  6. For the tzatziki sauce, mix Greek yogurt, shredded cucumber, chopped dill, minced garlic, and salt in a bowl until blended.
  7. Serve the chicken souvlaki with the tzatziki sauce on the side.

Notes

For best results, marinate the chicken longer and do not overcrowd the air fryer.
