Description
Soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies that are easy to make and perfect for sharing.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla until well blended.
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually blend this dry mixture into the wet mixture.
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
- Let them cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
Notes
Serve warm with milk or coffee. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or freeze for up to three months.
