Ingredients

  • 1 fully cooked ham (about 8-10 pounds)
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. Score the surface of the ham in a diamond pattern.
  3. In a bowl, mix brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, ground cloves, and ground cinnamon.
  4. Brush the glaze over the ham.
  5. Place ham in a roasting pan and cover loosely with foil.
  6. Bake for 1.5 to 2 hours, basting every 30 minutes with the glaze.
  7. Remove foil for the last 30 minutes to caramelize the glaze.
  8. Let it rest for about 15-20 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Avoid skimping on the glaze and remember to baste! Patience during resting time is essential for juicy results.
