Ingredients
- 1 pound of carrots
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon of fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Peel and slice the carrots into even pieces.
- In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, salt, and pepper.
- Add the carrots to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated with the glaze.
- Spread the carrots on a baking sheet in a single layer.
- Roast in the oven for 20-25 minutes or until tender and caramelized, stirring halfway through.
- Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
For an extra flavor boost, consider adding a pinch of cinnamon or a splash of orange juice to the glaze. You can also substitute brown sugar with honey or maple syrup for different sweetness.
