Ingredients
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 package (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water (110°F)
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
- Add flour, olive oil, garlic, Parmesan, and salt. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise for 1 hour.
- Punch down the dough and divide it into equal parts. Shape each part into a snowflake form and place on a baking sheet. Let it rise for another 30 minutes. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with extra Parmesan. Bake at 375°F for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
