Description
A simple and flavorful side dish of green beans sautéed with garlic and lemon.
Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh green beans
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 lemon, zested and juiced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Trim the ends of the green beans.
- In a large pot, bring water to a boil and blanch the green beans for 3-4 minutes.
- Drain and immediately transfer the beans to ice water.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
- Add the blanched green beans and sauté for another 3-4 minutes.
- Add lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Toss to combine.
- Serve warm.
Notes
Avoid overcooking the green beans and always use fresh lemon juice for the best flavor.
