Description

A quick and delicious Garlic Lemon Pasta with broccoli, ready in just five minutes.


Ingredients

  • 200g pasta (spaghetti recommended)
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon, juiced and zested
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Parmesan cheese, grated (optional)


Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. In the last 3 minutes, add the broccoli to the pasta pot.
  2. Drain the pasta and broccoli, saving some pasta water.
  3. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  4. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  5. Add the drained pasta and broccoli to the skillet.
  6. Mix in lemon juice, zest, salt, and pepper.
  7. Add reserved pasta water as needed to create a sauce.
  8. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

Be sure to salt the water for the pasta. Avoid overcooking the broccoli to keep it vibrant.
