Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons garlic butter
  • 1 cup uncooked rice
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: parsley for garnish


Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt garlic butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
  2. Add ground beef, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook until browned.
  3. Stir in uncooked rice and beef broth, bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18-20 minutes until rice is tender.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted.
  5. Serve warm, garnished with parsley if desired.

Notes

For leftover storage, refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days, or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat with a splash of broth.
