Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 tablespoons garlic butter
- 1 cup uncooked rice
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 onion, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt garlic butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
- Add ground beef, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook until browned.
- Stir in uncooked rice and beef broth, bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18-20 minutes until rice is tender.
- Remove from heat and stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted.
- Serve warm, garnished with parsley if desired.
Notes
For leftover storage, refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days, or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat with a splash of broth.
