Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup caramelized onions
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese (e.g., Swiss or Gruyère)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup beef broth
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together ground beef, caramelized onions, breadcrumbs, egg, shredded cheese, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
- Pour the beef broth around the meatloaf.
- Bake for 1 hour or until the meatloaf is cooked through.
- Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
