Delicious cookies infused with the festive flavors of eggnog, nutmeg, and cinnamon, perfect for holiday cheer.
Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup eggnog
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, nutmeg, cinnamon, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix well.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
- Stir in the eggnog and walnuts if desired.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden.
- Cool on a wire rack before serving.
Notes
You can substitute eggnog with milk and a hint of nutmeg for a lighter version. Feel free to add chocolate chips instead of walnuts if preferred.
