Description

Quick and tasty chicken skewers grilled to perfection with a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce, ideal for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • Bamboo skewers (soaked in water for 30 minutes)
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, or if using an oven, preheat to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Thread the chicken cubes onto the soaked bamboo skewers, leaving space for even cooking.
  3. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Whisk in honey, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, and brown sugar; bring to a simmer.
  5. Dissolve cornstarch in water and stir into the sauce; cook until thickened, about 2-3 minutes.
  6. Place skewers on the grill or in the oven and cook for 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally and brushing with sauce.
  7. Serve hot, drizzled with additional honey garlic sauce.

Notes

Soak bamboo skewers to prevent burning and cut chicken into uniform pieces for even cooking. Add vegetables to skewers for extra flavor.
