Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts
- 1 cup long-grain white rice
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 4 cloves minced garlic
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- Optional toppings: chopped parsley, green onions, red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- In a pot, bring water to a boil and add the rice. Cook according to package directions.
- In a skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil. Once hot, add the chicken breasts. Cook for 5-7 minutes per side or until cooked through.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Stir in heavy cream and parmesan cheese; let it simmer until thickened.
- Slice the chicken and assemble your bowls by layering rice, chicken, and sauce. Top with optional garnishes before serving.
Notes
For best results, use fresh garlic and avoid overcooking the chicken to keep it moist.
