Deliciously soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies that are perfect for snacks or dessert.
Ingredients
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- In another bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
- Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For a special touch, sprinkle a bit of sea salt on top before baking. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
