Description

A comforting and effortless casserole featuring layers of savory meatballs, rich pasta sauce, and gooey cheese, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound frozen meatballs
  • 1 can (24 ounces) pasta sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups uncooked pasta (such as penne or rigatoni)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large casserole dish, combine frozen meatballs, pasta sauce, water, and uncooked pasta. Mix well.
  3. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 40 minutes.
  4. Remove the foil, add mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
  5. Bake uncovered for an additional 10–15 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden.
  6. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley and serve hot.

Notes

For a creamier texture, consider stirring in ricotta cheese before baking. For crunch, top with breadcrumbs mixed with olive oil during the last baking stage.
