Description

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs potatoes
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 egg yolk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Nutmeg (optional)
  • Parmesan cheese (optional, for topping)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Peel and chop the potatoes, then boil them in salted water until tender.
  3. Drain the potatoes and mash them until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the mashed potatoes with butter, heavy cream, egg yolk, salt, pepper, and nutmeg (if using).
  5. Spoon the mixture into a piping bag with a star nozzle.
  6. Pipe the potato mixture into desired shapes on a baking sheet.
  7. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese if desired.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
