Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- Mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
- Stir in the melted butter.
- Mix in the baking soda and salt.
- Add the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract, and mix well.
- Mix in the flour and cocoa powder until just combined, being careful not to over mix.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool before slicing.
Notes
Best served warm with butter, or topped with ice cream, almond butter, or peanut butter.
