Description

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup nuts (walnuts or pecans)
  • 1/2 cup assorted candies (M&Ms, toffee bits)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips, nuts, and assorted candies.
  7. Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a lined baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden around the edges.
  9. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
