- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1 egg (at room temperature)
- 1 1/4 cup old fashioned whole rolled oats
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/8 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup milk chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set it aside.
- Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a mixing bowl until well combined.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, and beat for about 3 minutes until light and fluffy.
- Gradually mix in the flour, oats, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt, scraping the sides of the bowl until everything is combined.
- Fold in the milk chocolate chips gently.
- Using a large cookie scoop, scoop out 8 equally sized balls of cookie dough and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Gently press down to about 1 inch in thickness.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 11-12 minutes, being careful not to overbake.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for about 20 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack to cool completely.
Notes
