Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop large spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown. Let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For thicker cookies, chill the dough for at least an hour before baking. You can also mix in different types of chocolate chips or add nuts for variation.
