Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the ripe bananas, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt, then gradually add this to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips if desired.
  5. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  7. While the cookies cool, prepare the glaze by beating together cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth.
  8. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cookies and enjoy!
