Description
This Crockpot Ravioli Lasagna is a hearty, family-friendly comfort food made with layers of cheese ravioli, savory meat sauce, and three kinds of cheese. Easy to prep and hands-off cooking make it perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 1 (25 oz) bag frozen cheese ravioli
- 1 lb Italian sausage or ground beef
- 1 (24 oz) jar marinara or pasta sauce
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tbsp all-purpose seasoning
- 1 (15 oz) container ricotta cheese
- 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese (plus more for topping)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: Fresh basil or parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the Meat: In a skillet, brown the Italian sausage or ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess grease.
- Season with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and all-purpose seasoning. Stir in marinara sauce and simmer for 5–10 minutes.
- Layer in Crockpot: Spray the inside of the slow cooker with non-stick spray or use a liner. Begin layering: spread a layer of meat sauce on the bottom, add a layer of frozen ravioli, spoon dollops of ricotta, sprinkle mozzarella, and Parmesan.
- Repeat layers until all ingredients are used. Finish with a final layer of sauce and a generous topping of mozzarella and Parmesan.
- Cook: Cover and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours, until ravioli is tender and cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Rest and Serve: Let the lasagna sit for 5–10 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped fresh basil or extra Parmesan if desired.
Notes
You can swap ricotta for cottage cheese or add sautéed spinach between layers for extra veggies. Use spicy sausage for a kick!
