Description
Fall-off-the-bone tender beef short ribs cooked low and slow in a crockpot for a flavorful and comforting meal.
Ingredients
- 3 Cups Baby Carrots
- 2 Cups Mushrooms (sliced)
- 2 Cups Beef Broth
- 1 Cup Red Wine (optional)
- 2 Tbsp Tomato Paste
- 1 Bay Leaf
- 8 Sprigs Fresh Thyme
- 1 Tbsp Garlic (minced)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Bone-in beef short ribs
Instructions
- Season the short ribs with salt and pepper.
- In a skillet, melt butter and brown the short ribs on all sides.
- Place the browned short ribs in the crockpot with carrots, mushrooms, beef broth, and optional red wine.
- Sprinkle garlic, tomato paste, bay leaf, and thyme on top.
- Cover and cook on low for 480 minutes (8 hours).
- Once done, serve the ribs with the flavorful liquid drizzled over the top.
Notes
For a thicker sauce, remove the lid for the last hour of cooking.
