Description

A delightful mix of crispy chicken, fresh romaine lettuce, and rich Caesar dressing, all piled between slices of your favorite bread.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 slices of ciabatta or brioche bread
  • 1 cup romaine lettuce, chopped
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup Caesar dressing
  • Olive oil for frying


Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken in buttermilk for at least 1 hour.
  2. Mix the all-purpose flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Remove the chicken from the buttermilk and let excess drip off. Dredge in the flour mixture, then in panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken for 5-7 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Toast the bread to your liking.
  6. Spread Caesar dressing on one side of each slice. Layer with crispy chicken, lettuce, and Parmesan cheese.
  7. Top with the other slice, slice in half, and enjoy!

Notes

For added flavor, pound the chicken breasts to 1 inch thick before marinating. Consider using a light Caesar dressing for a healthier alternative.
