Description
A delightful mix of crispy chicken, fresh romaine lettuce, and rich Caesar dressing, all piled between slices of your favorite bread.
Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 4 slices of ciabatta or brioche bread
- 1 cup romaine lettuce, chopped
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ cup Caesar dressing
- Olive oil for frying
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken in buttermilk for at least 1 hour.
- Mix the all-purpose flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Remove the chicken from the buttermilk and let excess drip off. Dredge in the flour mixture, then in panko breadcrumbs.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken for 5-7 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through.
- Toast the bread to your liking.
- Spread Caesar dressing on one side of each slice. Layer with crispy chicken, lettuce, and Parmesan cheese.
- Top with the other slice, slice in half, and enjoy!
Notes
For added flavor, pound the chicken breasts to 1 inch thick before marinating. Consider using a light Caesar dressing for a healthier alternative.
