Ingredients
- 5 chicken thighs, skinless & boneless, dried with a paper towel
- 1 teaspoon 21 Salute Seasoning from Trader Joe’s or any poultry seasoning
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
For Creamy Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons garlic, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup chicken broth
- ½ cup heavy whipping cream
- ½ cup Parmesan or prieve cheese, finely grated
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 2 teaspoons dill, finely chopped, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Season the chicken thighs with 21 Salute Seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- In a pan over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter and sear the chicken thighs until they are golden on both sides, then transfer them to a baking dish.
- In the same pan, add another 2 tablespoons of butter and sauté the garlic until fragrant. Stir in flour and cook for one minute. Gradually whisk in the chicken broth, heavy whipping cream, and Parmesan cheese, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens. Pour the creamy sauce over the chicken thighs in the baking dish.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes. Remove the aluminum foil and cook for an additional 10-15 minutes until the chicken thighs are thoroughly cooked and the sauce is bubbling.
- Garnish with finely chopped dill before serving, if desired.
Notes
- Ensure the chicken thighs are patted dry before seasoning to get a nice sear.
- Allow the creamy sauce to cool slightly before pouring over the chicken to thicken properly.
- Check for doneness using a meat thermometer; the internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
