A delicious and comforting pasta dish with rich and creamy sauce, perfect for quick weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
- 12 oz fettuccine or spaghetti
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted water until al dente, reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain.
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat, add garlic, sauté until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream, whisk and let simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add Parmesan, salt, and black pepper; whisk until smooth.
- Combine pasta with the sauce, adjusting consistency with reserved pasta water as needed.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, use freshly minced garlic and don’t skip the reserved pasta water. Add red pepper flakes for heat.
