  • 1 ½ lb Springer mountain farms chicken breast
  • 1 ½ teaspoon paprika OliveNation

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 12 oz gluten free farfalle pasta
  • 4 tablespoon butter

  • 2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoon Gluten Free 1:1 Flour
  • 3 cups heavy cream
  • 12 oz shredded parmesan
  • ¼ cup pasta water
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder


Instructions

  1. Begin by heating the olive oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with paprika, oregano, garlic powder, thyme, black pepper, and salt. Cook the chicken in the pan until it is golden and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes on each side. Remove the chicken from the pan and set it aside.
  2. In the same pan, melt the butter and add the dry shallots. Sauté until fragrant, then stir in the Italian seasoning. Add the chicken broth and flour, whisking constantly to avoid lumps. Gradually pour in the heavy cream while continuing to whisk, forming a creamy sauce.
  3. Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve ¼ cup of pasta water before draining the pasta.
  4. Slice the cooked chicken breast and add it to the pan with the creamy sauce. Stir in the shredded parmesan cheese until it melts and forms a smooth sauce. Add the cooked pasta to the pan and toss to coat with the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water to reach the desired consistency.
  5. Finish with a sprinkle of parsley or more parmesan cheese if desired. Serve hot.
