Ingredients
- 1 large head of cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Prepare the cauliflower by cutting it into bite-sized florets.
- Steam the florets for about 5 to 7 minutes until tender but still with some bite.
- Melt butter over medium heat in a medium-sized saucepan and whisk in flour for about a minute to create a roux.
- Gradually add in heavy cream and milk, whisking constantly until the mixture thickens.
- Season the sauce with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted and well combined.
- Gently fold in the steamed cauliflower florets to coat them in the cheese sauce.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and top with grated Parmesan cheese.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Allow to rest for a few minutes before serving.
