A refreshing twist on classic Caprese salad, this Creamy Caprese Pasta Salad combines pasta with fresh tomatoes, mozzarella, basil, and a creamy dressing.
Ingredients
- 8 oz pasta (fusilli or rotini)
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cup fresh mozzarella balls, halved
- 1/2 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup Italian dressing
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Once done, drain the pasta and allow it to cool.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooled pasta, halved cherry tomatoes, mozzarella balls, and chopped basil.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise and Italian dressing until well blended.
- Pour the creamy dressing over the pasta mixture and gently toss to combine all ingredients evenly.
- Season the salad with salt and pepper to taste, adding more if needed.
- Serve chilled or at room temperature for the best flavor.
Notes
For best flavor, serve within the first few days after preparation. Stir in extra mayonnaise or dressing for leftovers.
