Ingredients

  • 12 ounces fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest


Instructions

  1. Rinse the cranberries and remove any stems.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, mix the water and sugar until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Add the cranberries and orange zest.
  4. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer.
  5. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and let it cool down.
  7. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

Avoid using squishy cranberries and don’t skip the orange zest for best flavor.
