A quick and easy homemade cranberry sauce that brings a burst of tart goodness to your holiday table.
Ingredients
- 12 ounces fresh cranberries
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon orange zest
Instructions
- Rinse the cranberries and remove any stems.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, mix the water and sugar until the sugar dissolves.
- Add the cranberries and orange zest.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer.
- Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let it cool down.
- Serve chilled or at room temperature.
Notes
Avoid using squishy cranberries and don’t skip the orange zest for best flavor.
