Deliciously fluffy dinner rolls infused with tart cranberries and zesty orange, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 1 cup fresh cranberries, chopped
Instructions
- Combine the dry ingredients: Mix the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt in a large bowl.
- Heat the wet ingredients: In a saucepan, gently heat the milk, orange juice, and melted butter until warm.
- Mix it all together: Pour the warm milk mixture into the dry ingredients and combine gently to form a dough.
- Incorporate the egg: Add the egg to the dough and stir until combined.
- Knead the dough: Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes.
- Fold in cranberries: Add the chopped cranberries and gently fold them into the dough.
- Let the dough rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
- Shape the rolls: Punch down the dough, divide it, and shape into rolls. Place in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake to perfection: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
Serve warm with butter or jam. These rolls can also be made ahead of time and stored properly.
