Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb crab meat
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 cups seafood stock
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish


Instructions

  1. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic; sauté until softened.
  2. Stir in the tomato paste and paprika; cook for another minute.
  3. Pour in the seafood stock, bring to a simmer, and then add the crab meat and shrimp.
  4. Cook until the shrimp are pink and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Reduce heat and stir in the heavy cream, season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Allow to simmer for a few more minutes, then serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

For extra richness, consider adding a splash of white wine while cooking. Use fresh seafood for the best flavor; frozen shrimp is a good alternative.
