Description

A delightful side dish combining fresh green beans and potatoes with ranch seasoning for a burst of flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb green beans
  • 2 cups potatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 2 tbsp ranch seasoning
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 2 cloves garlic (optional, minced)


Instructions

  1. Wash and trim the green beans.
  2. Peel and chop the potatoes into bite-sized pieces.
  3. In a large pot, bring water to a boil.
  4. Add the potatoes and cook for about 10 minutes.
  5. Add the green beans to the pot and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until both are tender.
  6. Drain the vegetables.
  7. In the same pot, melt butter and stir in ranch seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  8. Add the cooked green beans and potatoes back into the pot and mix well to coat with the seasoning.
  9. Serve warm.

Notes

Ensure you do not overcook the vegetables; they should be tender but still have a little crunch. Feel free to add in other vegetables like carrots or corn for additional color and flavor.
