A delightful side dish combining fresh green beans and potatoes with ranch seasoning for a burst of flavor.
Ingredients
- 1 lb green beans
- 2 cups potatoes, peeled and chopped
- 2 tbsp ranch seasoning
- 2 tbsp butter
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- 2 cloves garlic (optional, minced)
Instructions
- Wash and trim the green beans.
- Peel and chop the potatoes into bite-sized pieces.
- In a large pot, bring water to a boil.
- Add the potatoes and cook for about 10 minutes.
- Add the green beans to the pot and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until both are tender.
- Drain the vegetables.
- In the same pot, melt butter and stir in ranch seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Add the cooked green beans and potatoes back into the pot and mix well to coat with the seasoning.
- Serve warm.
Notes
Ensure you do not overcook the vegetables; they should be tender but still have a little crunch. Feel free to add in other vegetables like carrots or corn for additional color and flavor.
