Description
Easy-to-make bite-sized chicken rolls filled with ham and Swiss cheese, coated in breadcrumbs and baked to perfection.
Ingredients
- 1 pound chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 4 ounces ham, sliced
- 4 ounces Swiss cheese, sliced
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 cup flour
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Flatten each piece of chicken with a meat mallet.
- Place a slice of ham and cheese on each piece of chicken.
- Roll the chicken around the ham and cheese and secure with a toothpick.
- Dip each roll in flour, then in the beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
- Place on a baking sheet and spray with cooking spray.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
Notes
You can use turkey instead of chicken, cheddar cheese instead of Swiss, and gluten-free breadcrumbs for an alternative. Prep ahead of time and bake them when you’re ready to serve.
