Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In another larger bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs and vanilla to the butter mixture, mixing well until fully combined.
- Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until the dough comes together.
- Carefully fold in the chocolate chips, ensuring they’re evenly distributed.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, giving them plenty of space to spread.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and slightly crispy on the edges.
- Allow the cookies to cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For extra thickness, chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking. Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for 3-4 days, refrigerate for up to a week, or freeze for up to 2 months.
