Description
A delightful banana bread infused with a cinnamon swirl, embodying warmth and nostalgia perfect for any time of the day.
Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- A pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 beaten egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
- Mash the ripe bananas in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
- Add melted butter to the mashed bananas and stir in baking soda and a pinch of salt.
- Incorporate sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract into the mixture and combine well.
- Gently mix in the all-purpose flour until just combined.
- In a small bowl, whisk together cinnamon and brown sugar for the swirl.
- Pour half of the banana batter into the loaf pan, sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mix, add remaining banana batter, and finish with the rest of the cinnamon sugar. Swirl gently with a knife.
- Bake for 60-65 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Store at room temperature for up to 3-4 days in an airtight container; can also be refrigerated for 1 week or frozen for up to 2 months.
