Description

A stunning and delicious Christmas Tree Stuffed Bread filled with cheese and vegetables, perfect for holiday festivities.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm milk (110°F)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 packet instant yeast
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped spinach
  • 1/2 cup chopped sun-dried tomatoes
  • 1 beaten egg (for brushing)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Allow to sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add flour, melted butter, and salt to the yeast mixture; mix until a rough dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Punch down the dough and roll out into a large triangle shape (¼ inch thick).
  6. On one half of the triangle, layer shredded mozzarella, spinach, and sun-dried tomatoes.
  7. Fold the other half of the triangle over, cut vertical strips from the top to the trunk, and twist each strip to form branches.
  8. Place shaped bread on a lined baking sheet and brush with beaten egg.
  9. Preheat the oven to 375°F and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Let cool slightly before serving.
