Indulgent and cheesy Christmas Mac and Cheese that’s easy to make and perfect for any holiday gathering.
Ingredients
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 4 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 cups milk
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the macaroni according to package instructions and drain.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Stir in flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Gradually whisk in the milk and cook until thickened.
- Add cheese to the sauce and stir until melted.
- Combine the cheese sauce with macaroni and mix well.
- Transfer to a baking dish and top with breadcrumbs.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
Make sure to use fresh cheese for better melting. Feel free to add your favorite meats or veggies.
