A delicious twist on classic banana bread combining ripe bananas with rich chocolate flavors for a moist, flavorful loaf.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas.
  3. Stir in melted butter.
  4. Mix in the brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
  5. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and mix in.
  6. Stir in the cocoa powder, then the flour until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  8. Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan and smooth the top.
  9. Bake for about 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Let cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
