Description
Classic chocolate chip cookies with a perfect balance of chewy cookie dough and melted chocolate.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chocolate chunks
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat until it turns brown; let it cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, mix the brown butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and blend well.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and chunks.
- Scoop out tablespoons of dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For a salty-sweet taste, sprinkle a little sea salt on top of the cookies before baking.
