Classic chocolate chip cookies that are soft, chewy, and perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 3/4 cup dark brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cold eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup unsalted butter, slightly softened
- Pinch of salt
- 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and cornstarch. Set this aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together the brown sugar, granulated sugar, and softened butter until the mixture is light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Add the vanilla extract, and continue to mix for 3-4 minutes until everything is well combined.
Notes
Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking for better shape and flavor.
