Description

Classic chocolate chip cookies that are soft, chewy, and perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 3/4 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cold eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, slightly softened
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and cornstarch. Set this aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the brown sugar, granulated sugar, and softened butter until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Add the vanilla extract, and continue to mix for 3-4 minutes until everything is well combined.

Notes

Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking for better shape and flavor.
