A delightful treat combining ripe bananas and rich chocolate for a moist loaf perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.
Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- A pinch of salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, mix the melted butter with the mashed bananas.
- Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
- Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and mix in.
- Add the flour and cocoa powder, gently mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for about 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Make sure your bananas are very ripe for the best flavor and moisture. Don’t overmix the batter to keep the bread light and fluffy. Customize with nuts or dark chocolate chips if desired.
